Police have released CCTV footage after a man was left with a black eye and concussion in an attack in Rock City.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, was walking along Trinity Street at around 11.30pm on Saturday, May 7, when he was approached by a group of men.
The victim was punched several times in the face by the men, leaving him with a black eye and concussion.
The Police Search for the Attacker
The victim was taken to Nottingham City Hospital for treatment.
Police are now appealing for the public's help in identifying the attackers.
Detective Inspector Simon Harrison, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a nasty and unprovoked attack on a young man who was simply walking along the street.
"We are determined to find the people responsible and bring them to justice.
"We believe that the attackers were part of a group of men who were seen on CCTV footage walking along Trinity Street at around the time of the attack.
"We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the attack or who has any information about the attackers to come forward.
"Any information, no matter how small, could help us to identify the attackers and bring them to justice."
CCTV Appeal
The CCTV footage shows the victim walking along Trinity Street when he is approached by a group of men.
One of the men punches the victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
The other men then run away.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and was later released.
