No Subway Service Along Stretch Of Line 2 Due To Oil Like Substance On Tracks Ttc

No subway service along stretch of Line 2 due to 'oil-like substance' on tracks: TTC

TTC buses shuttle passengers between stations on affected stretch

Service expected to resume by early afternoon

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) said no subway service was operating along a stretch of Line 2 on Wednesday morning due to an “oil-like substance” on the tracks.

Shuttle buses were operating between Kipling and Keele stations while crews worked to clean up the mess.

The TTC said service was expected to resume by early afternoon.

“Shuttle buses are operating between Kipling and Keele stations while crews work to clean up an oil-like substance on the tracks,” the TTC said in a tweet.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

The TTC did not provide any information about what caused the oil-like substance to be on the tracks.

This is a developing story. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
