Jose Mourinho's time at Manchester United may have ended in disappointment, but he remains the club's most successful manager of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.
The Portuguese won three major trophies during his two-and-a-half year spell at Old Trafford, including the Europa League in 2017. He also led the club to second place in the Premier League in 2017-18, their highest finish since Ferguson retired in 2013.
Mourinho's achievements at United are all the more impressive given the club's struggles since Ferguson's departure. David Moyes and Louis van Gaal both failed to win a major trophy during their time in charge, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has yet to win a trophy since taking over in December 2018.
Mourinho's legacy at United will be debated for years to come, but there is no doubt that he was a successful manager at the club. He won more trophies than any other manager since Ferguson, and he helped the club to regain its place among the elite of English football.
