Madrid, Spain - Real Madrid were crowned kings of Europe for a record-extending 15th time with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on Saturday. The match was played in front of a sell-out crowd at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid.
Dortmund made most of the running in the first half, but Madrid sealed their victory with two second-half goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 64th minute with a stunning free-kick, and Bale added the second in the 84th minute with a header.
The victory was Madrid's fourth in the Champions League in the past five years, and it moved them one ahead of Bayern Munich as the most successful club in the competition's history.
Legendary rockstar Lenny Kravitz took to the stage ahead of the match to perform a set of his hits, including "Are You Gonna Go My Way" and "Fly Away."
