Boston holds off Mavericks' comeback attempt in Game 3

The Boston Celtics are one win away from their 18th NBA championship after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 106-98 in Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals on Wednesday night.

The Celtics led by 25 points in the third quarter, but the Mavericks came storming back to cut the lead to just four points with less than three minutes remaining.

However, the Celtics held on for the win, thanks to a clutch three-pointer from Jayson Tatum and some key defensive stops down the stretch.

Tatum led the Celtics with 29 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 27 points and Marcus Smart with 21 points.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 31 points, followed by Kristaps Porzingis with 20 points and Jalen Brunson with 17 points.

Game 4 of the series will be played in Boston on Friday night.
